Just 2.5km away from Mahi Mahi Hinchinbrook, you'll find the charming coastal town of Cardwell.

Soak in the sea breeze as you meander along the foreshore. Pick up delicious produce and tuck into the local pies at the roadside stalls or enjoy a meal at Cardwell's restaurants and cafes. Explore the museums of if you're a golf lover, you can rejoice for the Cardwell Country Club is home to a 9 hole golf course.  ​
 

Once you've availed yourself of the township, it's time to explore the surrounding hinterland. One of the most famous Cardwell sights is the Cardwell Spa Pools. Vibrantly blue and seemingly magic, pack a picnic and spend an afternoon there before stopping at the nearby Attie Creek Falls and finishing the day with views across Hinchinbrook from the Hinchinbrook Channel Lookout.
